 We want to celebrate and support those in Shreveport who are among the first in their family to attend and graduate from college.  
OUR EVENTS

• Annual Trunk Giveaway! Where community members come together to share their personal "I'm First!" stories; first-generation college students will receive need-to-know resources from community experts and leave with a college footlocker filled with dorm room essentials to help jump start their college career.
• Dorm Room Supply Drive - Donate dorm room essentials at designated drop off locations to support the Trunk Giveaway. 
• "I'm First"! Shreveport - A call to action for first- generation college students and first generation college graduates to purchase a Shreveport Goes to College t-shirt to support the efforts of Shreveport Goes to College

How You Can Help

• Become a Corporate Sponsor with a donation of $1000 dollars or more. 
• Become a friend of Shreveport Goes to College with a donation of $500
• Sponsor a college footlocker filled with dorm room essentials for $250
• Donate dorm room supplies at selected locations. 
• Purchase a Shreveport Goes to College t-shirt and join the "I'm First!" Shreveport Movement on Instagram #shreveportgoestocollege
